(Informal conversations among nonprofits on various topics)
Philanthropy Field Trips
(Forum at nonprofits to explore their successes and strategies in fund raising and programming)
I would like to call your attention to our Rising Tide series and our Crowd Funding Training.
Rising Tide: Voices Rising, Landscape Illuminated, Tide Shifting
We continued our hugely popular Rising Tide series, with two events focusing on LGBTQ issues and the empowerment of low-income women. These multimedia events provide a space for grantmakers, nonprofits, and other community stakeholders to explore innovation for good and philanthropy’s role in catalyzing meaningful change. They feature thought leaders, storyteller-innovators, funders and policymakers and are aimed at building new networks that will enhance the work of Foundation Center while establishing a more connected community of change makers in Northeast Ohio.
Stay tuned for upcoming details about our next Rising Tide. Please contact Brian Schultz, Program Associate for further details at bss@foundationcenter.org.
Crowd Funding
In demonstration of our commitment to being responsive to the nonprofit community’s needs with new tools and resources for fund raising, Foundation Center has developed a training course on crowd funding (which is the practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people, typically via the internet) in partnership with Rockit Results.
Engaging community conversations and developing and implementing responsive programming is how Foundation Center-Cleveland fulfills it’s commitment to connecting nonprofits to the resources they need to thrive. Please refer to the next blog which will focus on: Understanding Foundation Center-Second in Series: Empowering Donors With Knowledge Tools They Need to Be More Strategic.
As always, be focused on knowledge, innovation and impact!
